ADVICE: Summer is here, and people spend more time exercising and enjoying fresh air. What to do in case of a dental injury?

If a tooth fragment breaks off, pick it up and take it to the dentist’s appointment with you. But please remember that a whole permanent tooth can be implanted back in your mouth if it comes out. It is important that you act quickly: then the probability of the tooth surviving is higher.

Be prepared in case a tooth injury occurs. Save your dentist’s phone number among your contacts so that you can contact them as soon as you need. We recommend that sports coaches, summer camp managers and parents install the ‘Tooth SOS’ smartphone application, which will help them make the right decisions in a critical situation.

To learn what to do if an accident occurs, read the recommendations by Doctor Reet Pallas, the oral and maxillofacial surgeon at Kliinik 32:

CHARITY: Kliinik 32 promotes the PAI charity campaign

Kliinik 32 is promoting the PAI charity campaign, which gathers donations for nurses and caregivers so that they can use the money to pay to tourism, culture, and entertainment companies across Estonia, using the special PAI card, until the end of the year.

Today, these are the sectors that are worth supporting the most. Kliinik 32 has already made a targeted donation to the foundation of cultural partnership ‘Kultuuripartnerluse SA’, which raises funds from the private sector for financing cultural life and freelance creators. “As a medical facility, we could and had to remain open for and accessible to our patients. The state gave us an opportunity to undergo vaccination for free, which we gladly used. Unlike us, culture professionals, who also receive extensive education and need to practice life-long learning to stay in shape, had limited opportunities,” said Doctor Lauri Vahtra, the head of Kliinik 32.

Donations for the PAI campaign can still be made by bank transfer to ‘Sihtasutus Kuressaare Haigla Toetusfond’ (Kuressaare Hospital Support Foundation), account no. EE824204278618211200, payment reference ‘PAI’.
